During the time I spent looking for study materials there are a couple of things that stood out for me.

Table of Contents

  1. CompTIA Security+ Study Guide
  2. Wiley Test Bank
  3. Udemy Practice Tests
  4. Debrief

1) CompTIA Security+ Study Guide

The first thing I did was buy this book. It is a great resrouce on its own and you can even have it read to you during long car trips, working out, or just before bed using the read aloud web add on or if on mobile, a read aloud app (mine had the option of already reading it allowed.)

The book provides you with 3 main resources that some may not know!

The first one was the CompTIA Sec+ coupon code you can get with with the purchase of the book (instructions inside).

2) Wiley Test Bank

The book allows you to gain access to the learning bank located on wiley!

By navigating to this site:

https://www.efficientlearning.com/

You can register your book, complete a challenge question, then gain access to your learning bank!

It comes with two main parts; a quiz builder, a flashcard builder.

Both of these are going to be great to help you study!

3) Udemy Practice Tests

I also used:

https://www.udemy.com/course/security-601-exams/

Taking practice tests on the days leading up the exam is arguably the best thing you can do as it will cover potential similar questions covering all the topics on the test.

It will also help you pace yourself and relieve some anxiety for those who do not like being timed.

4) Debrief

I talked about some CompTIA Security + study guide materials that I personally used. I also went over some of the perks to buying the CompTIA Security+ book. I also listed a great practice exam resource. I personally found that watching videos for study really dragged out and became really boring. In the end, do what is best for you and heopfully this helped you out some.
